“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
James 1:22.
The Joy of obedience lies in seeing the manifestation of the things the Lord has promised and becoming like Him in the process. That’s what obedience to God does in our lives.
There has never been a time when anyone has been able to walk with God without giving themselves to complete and immediate obedience, and if we will experience the joy of obedience, we must submit ourselves to God in full obedience.
Lack of obedience in our walk with God leads to stunted growth, and a failure to see God’s promises come to pass. Therefore, as children of God, we must not joke with obedience, and we must ensure to obey joyfully, knowing that the one who has asked us has also enabled us.
Charge: You can only experience the results and joy in obedience by obeying completely, wholeheartedly, and immediately.
