“And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.”
Matthew 14:19
In arithmetic, multiplication is achieved by adding numbers repeatedly. But in the kingdom of God, faith is God’s requirement that we bring for multiplication. Hard work alone does not guarantee abundance, just as doing anything yields nothing; a little of what God has given to every man either as a gift/talent/skill plus faith alone can bring the increase.
From our text, Jesus needed to feed the multitude; however, it wasn’t from nothing. As little as five loaves and two fishes were enough to breathe upon for the feeding of five thousand, His faith made all the changes.
This is what differentiates magic from miracle. Daily, God requires our faith to work the supernatural in and through us. He wants to turn your little into an overflow but do you have such a living faith for multiplication? As we celebrate Easter, just like the Apostles went all the way for Christ after His ascension, let’s ask God for faith to break limits, sustain us on earth, and take us to Him in heaven—when we’re done with our works.
Charge: Stop doubting. Faith can move all mountains.
