“A doubleminded man is unstable in all his ways.”

James 1:8

A doubtful person is fearful and not full of faith. A person who is full of doubt is someone who decides to live an hypocritical lifestyle. The scriptures describe such person as being ‘lukewarm’, “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16.

A doubtful life is characterized by stagnancy and it is not accepted by God.
As children of God, we are not permitted to be doubtful because we walk by faith and not by sight. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1. Our responses to all situations should be inspired by faith not doubt. A life of doubt is beclouded by uncertainties and cannot receive anything from the Lord. Your state of mind, thoughts and perception should focus on Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of your faith.

Are you confused or in a state of confusion? “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints” 1 Corinthians 14:33. May the God of peace fill our hearts with great faith and minister to our souls in Jesus’ name. Amen.
