“And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.”Colossians 4:17
In today’s Scripture, we see how Archippus is being admonished to take the ministry which God has bestowed him seriously and fulfill it. As children of God, we all have our ministries which has been handed over to us by God. Every one of us has a mandate to fulfill and this doesn’t have to be until we are ordained as pastors, evangelist or whatever title.
We all came to this life with one assignment or the other. But that assignment, which is our ministry, is activated the moment we decide to give our life to Christ. Don’t look to far on what ministry could be, even your career is a ministry. In other words, you’re a representative of Jesus on that career path you’ve chosen.
Also, we must ensure that whatever ministry we find ourselves doing is the actual thing God wants us to do. Even if you find peace in that thing you’re currently doing, if that’s not God’s ministry for you, it’s all vanity.
So, in order not to fail or miss it, you must consult God to find out that ministry, ask for the strategy with which He wants you to run that ministry and make sure you run with it and fulfil it.
