“See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men”.
1 Thessalonians 5:15
The scripture reminds us in the book of Hebrews 13:16 to do good because it pleases God. We believe that God is our Father, therefore we replicate his good life here on earth. The present world system thrives in all forms of evil activities but every believer is expected to stand out for that which is good as God’s representative on earth.
Most times when we look around us, the people who come our way might not deserve us to be good to them. Some believers we meet might not meet up to our standard of reciprocating an act of goodness to them. Nonetheless, we are admonished through the scripture of today to ever follow that which is good.
We should remember that we were also undeserving of the goodness, mercy, and grace of God; but while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. If God could overlook our weaknesses day in and out, we are expected to do the same by extending the act of goodness among ourselves as believers and also to all men. May the God of all grace bless our hearts to do good unto all men (Amen).
