“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”

James 1:2-3.

Rejoicing in trials is a powerful expression of faith. So, in the message of today, we are encouraged to count it all joy, even amid hardship. Joy isn’t about denial or superficial happiness; it’s about recognising that trials are stepping stones for growth.

Trials are not to punish us but to refine us. Just as gold is purified in fire, our faith is strengthened through challenges. Each difficulty builds in us a deeper trust in God, helping us mature spiritually.

Rejoicing in trials doesn’t mean ignoring pain; rather, it’s an act of faith that chooses to focus on God’s presence and promises. Therefore, we can rest in knowing that God is with us, shaping us into His image.

Charge: Let us rejoice in trials, knowing that God has a purpose behind it.
