” Concerning Edom, thus saith the LORD of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?”
Jeremiah 49:7
It should never be heard that, in a land where there are children of God, wisdom is absent. This is because wisdom comes from God, and He has said that if we lack wisdom, all we need to do is ask, and we shall receive. Solomon asked for wisdom, and he received it.
One thing we must also know is that a person who is averse to listening to good counsel is susceptible to foolishness. If there is ever a time it seems like there are no longer wise men in the land, it’s because men stopped listening to good counsel, going to their prayer altar, obeying God’s instructions, and have become too proud to listen to the elders.
When we ask God for wisdom, we should simultaneously open our ears and be ready to hear and comply with any means the Lord decides to speak to man—whether through a child, His Word, His voice, or fellow men
Charge: Be ready always to humble yourself and listen.
