“The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.”
John 1:7
As Christians, we have a divine purpose: to preach the Word and to be witnesses—to bear witness to the Light, so that others may believe through us. Just as John the Baptist came as a witness to testify about Jesus, the Light of the world, we too are called to shine this light in the darkness. Our lives are meant to reflect God’s love, grace, and truth, serving as a testimony that draws others to Him.
Being a witness is not only about sharing the gospel with words, but also about living a life that exemplifies Christ. Our actions, choices, and attitudes should align with the message of hope and salvation we proclaim. People should be able to see Christ in us and recognize the presence of God through the way we love, serve, and treat others. This is how we bear witness to the Light—by letting the light of Christ shine through us.
No one is too limited to be a witness. Every believer is called to this mission. We are here to be witnesses—vessels through which others may come to believe in Christ.
Charge: Remember, your first calling is to be a witness and a light to the world, so that others can see it and come to Christ.
