“Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts“
Haggai 2:4
For over 32 times, the Bible repeats the phrase “be strong” and about 36 times the Lord assures His people of His ever-abiding presence with the word “I am with you.”
Some men have integrity but don’t have capacity— in the face of challenges, they’re sincerely helpless. Others have the capacity but do not have the integrity to fulfill their promises; hence, they are like broken teeth in the day when the bone of burdens is to be cracked.
Hallelujah! Our God is not like humans — He is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should change His mind from making good His promises when necessities arise. God has capacity in its fullness; He is all-powerful and dependable.
Dear believer, may this be your affirmative confession in this new year; “I will look up to God, from whom comes my help.” God is ready to comfort you for all the failures you’ve suffered due to the failed promises from men. He only asks that you take Him by His words — He honours His word more than His name.

Though for the day: Trust Him; He won’t fail.
