“For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.“
Jeremiah 2:13
From the scripture today, it’s been revealed to us that God is our fountain of living waters which means that He is our source that never runs dry. This further explains that as children of God, we can connect to God who has enough supplies to bless us with living waters which symbolize “the Holy Spirit”.
God isn’t happy to see how we, His people, have forsaken the fountain of life and chosen to make for ourselves cisterns, broken ones for that matter. According to the scriptures, what are cisterns? Cisterns stands for “worldly systems”. The worldly systems usually look attractive but end up being destructive. Any life that disconnects from the fountain and starts to rely on cisterns will soon run out of supplies.
Remember that anytime the children of Israelites disobey God and decide to follow the works of other nations such as idolatry, they end up being frustrated. May we not be frustrated out of God’s will for our lives in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thought for the day: Never forsake God or yield to the systems of the world. You cannot be joined or unequally yoked with the world.
Stay blessed.
