“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”
Psalm 19:1
There was a prophet, called by God to lead his people out of slavery and journey through paths to the promised land. As they embarked on this journey, something remarkable happened on their way. God instructed this prophet to come up a mountain where He conversed with him. In the process of this conversation, the prophet stayed in the Lord’s presence forty days and nights.
At the end of the conversation between the prophet and God, he climbed down from the mountain to relay the message. Now, the people he was sent to were afraid to come near him. You ask why? The skin of his face shone so bright that people could not behold him. The prophet had to put on a veil to cover his face when talking with the people, but took it off whenever he was in the presence of God.
Beloved, a reflection of God’s glory upon a man caused other men to tremble. This shows that God’s glory is unmatchable and cannot be compared to any other. Can we take out time to declare God’s glory? Glory to God!
Charge: God’s glory is unmatched and awe-inspiring. It is revealed in His plan of salvation, through Jesus Christ which remains the source of light and life.
