“And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.”
Job 2:3
Nobody likes Job’s story. We are quick to even say things like, “If this is what happens when God is impressed with me, maybe I should not do too much, and just stay under the radar.”
Inasmuch as we all don’t want struggles, they still come because, one, the devil will not stop fighting against the believer and, two, sometimes we need to pass through the valley of the shadow of death to be able to produce stories that bring people out of the pit of death.
But the question is, ‘Can God boast of the fact that you are one person who will not be swayed no matter the colour of the struggle?’ How will you react when you are granted that 20 million dollars you’ve been seeking? Can God boast of you as a man who continued to seek Him even with all that money, or will you become what satan uses to show people that money is a greater god.
Whose witness will you be?
