“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.“

Where are you drinking from?
The answer to that question defines a lot of the fruits you’re presently seeing in your life. The everlasting life that springs from God is able to keep you in a place of joy even when circumstances say different.
Unfortunately, it can be tempting to walk away from the invisible since it requires faith and try to find succor in the short-lived relief methods of our time.
In the time of sadness, while trying to relieve yourself with comedy might suffice in the moment, after the laughter, you find that your heart is still drenched with the sadness. Also, if you decide to make merry with alcohol, you might forget your sorrow for a while, but the sadness comes upon you when you awaken in the morning.
Today, try staying in the presence of God. Try drinking from the well of His fullness. Then you will receive the only thing that is able to give you true joy and peace – the living water, the life of Christ.
Keep drinking from that well and find the secret to thirsting no more.
