“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” 2 Corinthians 13:5
One of the easiest thing for a man is to fish out the errors in others. We tend to see the flaws in others, while we let ourselves be.
To make progress in our Christian journey, we must examine ourselves often. Examine your faith in God; are you still as dedicated as you were when you first encountered Christ? Is the love of Christ still paramount to you?
Are you growing spiritually? Are you still in faith? Are you still in Christ? These and many more questions are to be asked by you to yourself.
Our salvation and faith in Christ shouldn’t be taken with levity. We should examine our faith on a daily basis, and to do this, we need to ask ourselves the question, “What will Jesus do?” in every circumstances that we find ourselves – in our actions, words, and everything we do.
