“Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”
1Thessalonians 5:6
Do you know that you have a lot to lose as a Christian when you give the sin any chance in your life? The fact that the devil goes about seeking the smallest space to squeeze himself into by throwing temptations here and there, is a sign that we cannot lose guard even for a second.
We need God. We need to hold Him tight by continually engaging with the Holy Spirit. We need to ensure we are seeking and obeying Him constantly. We need to watch carefully and submit ourselves to God.
We must understand that the moment we step away from God, either by staying out of fellowship or allowing disobedience to sneak in, we put ourselves in great trouble. Now, if we step away from God, how can we even expect stand firm?
Watch carefully and take heed, lest ye fall.
