DON’T JUST OCCUPY SPACE

And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

Matthew 21:19

Dear Christian, so much is expected of you because so much has been given to you. It is inappropriate and inhuman to be in a place and have no impact. This is because with the grace and gifts of God upon your life, as well as the Holy Spirit’s guidance, you are capable of so many beautiful things.

Remember what happened to the fig tree in our passage, because it wasn’t producing fruits and just occupying space, Jesus wasn’t happy, and therefore, cursed the tree.   God is expecting something creative, impactful and godly out of your life.

Whenever you find yourself in a place, always think: “how can I serve here?”; “how will my talents be of use here?”; “how can I obey God in this place?”; “how can I help?”

This mindset will ensure you’re always looking out for ways to make an impact wherever you are. Do not let what you are going through be the reason you close your mind to the thought of fulfilling purpose or helping others, instead let it be the catalyst.
