But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.”

2 Timothy 3:14

The path to achievement involves numerous principles: giving, charity, discipline, and fervent prayer, to name a few. However, one crucial aspect often overlooked is Continuity.

Applying a principle is beneficial, yet you may not witness results if you do it only once or twice. Imagine if you persist until you achieve your goal. Should you then cease because you’ve attained what you aimed for? Avoid that approach. Instead, as Christians, we must grasp the concept of persevering in doing good, regardless of circumstances.

For those in marriage, this might involve purposefully maintaining romantic gestures and understanding long after the wedding, to keep the flame of the relationship alive. For students, it could mean persistently sending out scholarship applications and studying even during breaks.

Continuity can manifest in various ways, but we must recognise that, often, the key to our breakthrough lies in consistent persistence.

Prayer

Lord, I ask that you give me the grace to keep on. Help me to never forget the little things you’ve taught me on this journey, and give me  the strength to continue in well doing in the name of Jesus. Amen.
