“Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.”

One of the key duties of a watchman is to patiently wait and observe what God ordains, overseeing and supervising the people. Their primary focus should be staying in alignment with God.
Moreover, a watchman must be obedient to the Master’s voice and instructions. By maintaining obedience to God, they can effectively convey His messages to the people. A watchman should never be swayed or afraid to convey God’s truths plainly. Disobedience makes a watchman vulnerable to danger and suffering.
It’s crucial to understand that God calls all Christians, not just leaders, to be watchmen in their prayer lives. Whether it’s watching over your family, church, city, or nation, God entrusts different walls to His people.
Watchmen must exercise caution, resisting the temptations and pressures of the world. They are responsible for warning others about the dangers of sin.

Father, help me be a faithful watchman wherever You’ve placed me. Give me the courage to always speak the truth and never lead Your people astray. Make me Your dedicated messenger in this corrupt world. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
