Purpose according to English Dictionary is “as an anticipated outcome that is intended or that guides your planned actions”.
The first knowledge to acquire in order to discover yourself is the knowledge of God. If you know God, you’ll discover your purpose. And the easiest way to discover the purpose of an invention is to ask its creator to explain it.
God has created every one of us uniquely. There is something you have to offer to your generation, and your purpose is your role in the kingdom of God. That assignment you are meant to perform for God; that service you are meant to render to humanity; that thing you need to transform lives. No one comes here by chance or mistake.
To discover your purpose in life, have in mind that it cannot be discovered outside of God. Here are some of the steps to discover your God-given purpose:
- Be genuinely born-again.
- Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
- Be pro-personal development (self-improvement and discovery).
- Read books to gain wide knowledge about your field.
IT IS IN CHRIST ALONE THAT WE FIND OUT WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE LIVING FOR. DO YOU KNOW JESUS?
Prayer
1. O Lord! Help me to discover the purpose I have been created forand also how to fulfill it.
2. Please, help me to identify distractions when trying to discover myself so that I don’t stray away.
3. Help me to live according to your standard and nothing less in Jesus’ name.
