“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7
Do you know that the state of your mind is reflected in your environment and the things that manifest in your life? Our thoughts are that powerful. It is what you think that you eventually become.
This is why for most problems, a mindset change is the first course of solution. A sound mind is just as important as a healthy body; sometimes, even more important. As Christians, we must pay attention to the way we think and the things we accept as our realities.
Never give in to the temptation to go with the flow of a public opinion that does not align with God because once you do, whether you voice it as an opinion or not, you begin to become it. You begin to attract it.
Take responsibility for your thoughts. While it is true that stray thoughts can wander into your mind, it is also true that you are in charge of what you let build up in your mind. When there’s an untoward thought in your mind that does not align with Philippians 4:8 (Phil.4.8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any (virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things), rebuke it immediately. Start to recite the Word or switch to praying in the Spirit.
Consciously observe your thoughts also with the knowledge that whatever you let foster in your mind, becomes a mindset that dictates your reality in future.
Prayer
1. Lord, I commit my heart into your hands. Every mindset I uphold that is not inline with your Word and Will, please demolish them.
2. I ask for grace to constantly stay in your presence and your Word to renew my mind.
