“Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.”
Isaiah 8:18
As God’s children, we have been chosen by Him to show forth His signs and wonders here on earth. Through Bible studies, we read about the miraculous acts of God amidst His people and among other nations. All these point to revealing the glory of God and proclaiming His greatness from one generation to another.
We can also recall that God performs His wondrous acts through yielded vessels. These vessels are who we refer to as patriarchs and matriarchs of faith. Our fathers and mothers of faith walked with God in total submission, obedience, and righteousness. They were chosen by God but also submitted to be used by Him.
Are we different from them? No; because Jesus mentioned that these signs shall follow those who believe. Abraham believed in God and it was counted to him for righteousness. Do you believe that you have been chosen for signs and wonders? God chooses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. You don’t need to have it all put together, just believe in God.
Charge: Be saved and believe in Jesus, the Son of God, and He will make you a sign and a wonder to your generation.
