“Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of
darkness.”1 Thessalonians 5:5
The believers have been called many names all through the scriptures, one of which is the children of Light and children of day. While this is true, unfortunately, not many believers are living this reality.
This is true because one of the proofs that we are truly children of Light is that there must be a walk that proves indeed that we are of Light. So, in response to this, we have all been called to watch and be sober. We must do the works of Light traceable to the Father of Light. Righteousness, peace, love with faith, and hope as our shield are all evidences that we are walking in Light. It is not enough that we call ourselves Light, but we must go further to do the works of Light.
Borrowing from the words of Jesus, every child must do the works of his father (John 8:44); likewise, every child of the Father of Light must do the work of Light. The Bible also says that we have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son. This means that we are no longer of darkness. The life we lived before the translation no longer exists. Jesus has become our past, present, and future. Hallelujah!
Confession: I am light in the world; therefore, I walk as light.
