“But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.”
1 Thessalonians 5:8
The believer who has received light is expected to live a certain kind of life. And the Bible is not silent on what these things are. We must not let down our shield, as satan knows his time is up and, therefore, is only doing everything necessary to bring many Christians down along with him.
Knowing this, the Word of God says to put on the whole armour of God to overcome every wiles of the enemy. The breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of salvation amongst others are indispensable tools for the believer, and we must fight to hold on to it in this end time.
God has called us children of light and of the day. Therefore, we cannot afford to be taken over by slumber just like the children of darkness. It is good that we settle it early in our walk with God—that as we have been translated into the Kingdom of Light, one of the progressive demands until the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is a constant watching and praying in sobriety, and a constant walk in love and faith.
Charge: Set your hope fully on Jesus. You need to keep your eyes on the Light to reflect light.
