“For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.”

1 Thessalonians 4:7

The call for holiness seems to be fading away in this era of Christianity. But the truth is that, it will never cease to be God’s demand for His children. God has made us holy and acceptable in His sight because of the price Jesus paid for us, but we should also watch out to manifest it by living according to His standards.

A lot of Christians don’t pay attention to how they live. Truthful, grace found and saved us, it didn’t give us the ticket to live anyhow—God forbid that we continue in sin, that grace may abound. Holiness means that God is in control of your life. Hence, you weigh every decision and action by His Word.

For instance, before you speak an unkind word, you ask yourself, “Will Jesus speak like this?”. Jesus said that if we love Him, we’ll keep His commandments.

“Grace is how much God loves you. Holiness is how much you love God.” ~ Lynette Hagin. God doesn’t demand holiness from us to punish us, but to protect and keep us from the daily wiles of the devil.

Charge: Be holy in everything you do, just as our heavenly Father is holy.
