“And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.”
Colossians 4:17
Paul’s encouragement to Minister Archippus applies to every Christian, today, who has received an assignment from the Lord or a gift to function with. Although we will not all function in the five-fold ministries, yet God has given to us different obligations to fulfill in the place of kingdom service and advancement.
The Apostle is telling us to stand strong in the faith and serve faithfully. You might be the ‘sent one’ to your workplace, the market where you sell, or even to a particular industry or field of life. Or there is something God has been telling you to do but you’ve been stalling on it. It could also be that the reason why you married into a family is because you have an assignment to carry out there.
No matter what you do, see yourself as a minister that is serving God. As you trust and follow God’s leading, He will help you to focus on the ministry that He has given to you and finish it.
