“And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.”

Acts 24:25

Felix looked for a convenient time to give his life to Christ. But till the end of the Bible, we weren’t told that he found that convenient time.

However, in Luke 19:1-9, we read of how Zaccheaus strived to meet Jesus despite his shortcomings and disadvantages. Also, the thief at the left side of Jesus had the opportunity but refused to repent at the right time. And we know what that means.

If you wish to do anything now, do it immediately – now that you still have the chance. The man you want to help might die if you delay the help. The book you should publish might save lives but your delay might do otherwise.

The same thing applies to doing the will of God. A lot of people have missed out on the will of God for their lives simply because they were looking for the perfect and convenient time to act. Instant obedience is very important while delayed obedience is not obedience at all.

With God, the accepted and convenient time is now, and even though the scripture has said there is a time for everything under the sun, it should not be taken as a license to delay under the guise of waiting on the Lord.
