“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”
Genesis 50:20
There are moments in life that do not look like God at all—painful turns, unfair treatments, and doors that close without warning. In those moments, it is easy to conclude that all is lost or that God has gone silent. Yet Joseph’s story unveils a deeper reality: God is present even in what He did not author.
What others intend for harm, God quietly gathers into His hands and begins to rework. He does not always stop the act, but He never wastes it. Behind the scenes, He is turning what was meant to break you into something that will position you.
This does not mean the evil was good. Betrayal was still betrayal. Injustice was still injustice. But God’s sovereignty is such that He is not limited by the intentions of men. He steps into the aftermath and rewrites the outcome. His goodness does not deny your experience; it redeems it. And in the end, what was meant for harm will not have the final say—God will.
Charge: So when life feels confusing and the pieces do not seem to fit, remember this: God is still working. Not everything that happens is from Him, but nothing is beyond Him

He can take the fragments of your story—the parts marked by pain, delay, or disappointment—and shape them into something redemptive.
