“Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”
Micah 7:7-8
Life can feel overwhelming when things don’t go as planned, when people disappoint, or when the path ahead seems uncertain. In such moments, it’s tempting to look around in fear or look within and feel empty. But Micah shows us a better way: look unto the Lord.
He doesn’t deny the trouble, the injustice, or the silence. Yet, he chooses to wait on the God of his salvation. When all else fails, the Lord becomes our light, guiding us through confusion, depression, failure, and fear.
To wait on God is to say, “Lord, even if I can’t see the full picture, I trust You to shine through.” Light doesn’t just remove darkness—it reveals direction. God’s presence brings clarity, strength, and hope.
Charge: When the nights feel long and the answers are slow, remember: the Lord is your light, and He will not fail you.
