“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Joshua 1:8
As believers, we are aware that the word of God is the secret to prosperity, and there are key instructions embedded in it for us to be successful.
The first instruction that we must obey is to speak the word of God. Most people default in this, and we must be intentional about what we profess with our mouths because there is power in the tongue. However, we cannot fully understand the first instruction if we haven’t practiced the second, which is meditation—we must ponder on God’s word during the day and also at night.
The final instruction emphasises diligent practice of God’s word because without it, there won’t be an end result—to live a successful and prosperous life. As we meditate on God’s Word, speak it, and live it, we align ourselves with His divine will for our lives. Doing such is a constant reminder of how integral our relationship with God should be, and how it shapes our destiny.
Charge: Let us embrace this practice, allowing His promises of success to manifest in every area of our lives.
