“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgement; that ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.”

Philippians 1:9-10

The word of God reminds us today of the vital role love plays in our lives as believers. Love isn’t just a feeling but a divine mandate to represent God’s nature. To abound in love means to overflow with it, ensuring it is in evidence our words, actions, and thoughts. To allow the love of Christ dominate our hearts.

This love is not aimless; it grows in knowledge and discernment, helping us make choices that align with God’s will. It challenges us to remain sincere, free from hypocrisy, and live lives that are without offence to others or to God.

As we journey through this new month, let us resolve to let God’s love guide our interactions. Let’s be quick to forgive, slow to anger, and intentional about extending grace to others. By doing this, we reflect Christ and prepare ourselves for His return.

Charge: Be intentional about loving others, even when it’s difficult. Seek to understand, forgive, and encourage, demonstrating the love that God has shown you.

Happy new month.
