I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:130ĺ0
In a world that often pressures us to be self-reliant, today’s verse offers a counter-cultural message, reminding us that our true source of strength is found in our relationship with God. Whatever external or internal circumstances, whether challenging or favourable, believers can remain steadfast and content because their strength comes from a higher source.
The power of God is eternal—it is this power that we vitally need to accomplish all that God has for us. When we allow God’s power to work in and through us, our lives, desires, and accomplishments will be transformed. An empowered life in Christ enables us to not only experience the very nature of God now, accomplishing all that He desires for us here on earth, but also empowers us to look forward confidently to the rewards that we will experience in heaven.
Whether it’s finding new opportunities or enduring the waiting period, we can rest in the assurance that Christ is with us, providing the strength to persevere. Whether in sharing the gospel, serving others in love, or confronting injustice and oppression, we can draw strength and courage from the assurance that Christ is with us, empowering us to fulfil His will and bring glory to His name.
Charge: Stay focused on Christ, who empowers us to face life’s challenges with faith and confidence.
