“The people which sat in darkness saw great light; And to them which sat in the region and shadow of death, Light is sprung up.”
Matthew 4:16
The presence of darkness is a reality of fear, confusion, and a life outside of God. The presence of Jesus means light has come into the hearts of everyone who once sat in hopelessness and despair.
When we find ourselves in real trouble and it feels like we are trapped, Jesus—who is the Light of the world— steps into our darkness with love, truth, and salvation. As it has been said, perfect love casts out fear. When Light comes, it gives revelation. The Word of God is a light illuminating our path and guides us away from destruction and into His marvellous grace. No matter how deep the darkness, the light of Christ overcomes it.
Maybe you’ve been struggling, and you don’t know which way to turn. I bring you glad tidings—light has come for you! The next thing is to let this Light fill your life with peace and joy.
Charge: Light has come for you; stop being afraid.
