“And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.”
Isaiah 49:6
Have you ever felt like your faith is insignificant or that you’re not making a difference in the world? Today’s verse reminds us that, as believers, we have a crucial role to play in God’s plan and are called to shine His light in a world filled with darkness.
What does it mean to be a light to the nations? It means sharing the Gospel with those who don’t know Jesus, a living example of our faith in a way that reflects God’s love and character, and being a source of hope and encouragement to those around you.
As you go about your day, remember that you are a light to the nation. You have the power to make a difference in the world around you.
Charge: You were created to shine; so, go out today and shine your light in a world filled with darkness.
