“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, And the man that getteth understanding.”
Proverbs 3:13
In times like this, most people easily fall into depression and anxiety. They are always in pursuit of happiness to ease their present struggles, pains, or troubles, but their wrong search eventually ends in loss. People who tend to find happiness relentlessly in wealth, riches, fame, or other humane desires will not be satisfied and will continue to search for other alternatives that steal their peace. The happiness received from the world is temporal, unfulfilling, and cannot give anyone peace at heart.
True happiness can only be found in a virtue, which is wisdom, and Jesus is the wisdom of God. Whenever we choose to find satisfaction in spending quality and intentional time with Jesus, we enjoy unending happiness in His presence. Word study, prayers, fasting, fellowship with the brethren, and other spiritual growth exercises are practical steps we can take to build our relationship with God.
As we commit ourselves to seeking the face of God at all times and in all situations, we unlock the secret to finding happiness and walking in divine wisdom. May the Lord help us to focus on Him as the giver of wisdom and true happiness. Amen.
Charge: Your personal happiness is contingent upon your pursuit of the wisdom of God.
