“For who hath despised the day of small things?”
Zechariah 4:10a
Have you ever felt like your efforts are too small to make a difference? Maybe you’re trying to make a change in your community, but it seems like a daunting task. Or perhaps you’re trying to start a new business or ministry, but it’s picking up very slowly.
God’s message to Zechariah is the same message He has for us today, “Do not despise small beginnings.” Every great accomplishment starts with a small step. Every mighty river begins with a tiny stream.
As we reflect on our own lives and endeavours, let’s remember that small beginnings can have a big impact. Let’s not despise the small steps we’re taking today, because they may be the foundation for something great tomorrow.
Charge: You can’t finish what you don’t start. So, start now!
