“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

A songwriter shared these words: “Only you can satisfy me, Only you can satisfy my soul, satisfy my soul.” Jesus’ statement of declaration as ‘The Bread of Life’ simply means that He is the only one who can satisfy our hunger for righteousness. We presently live in a world that exonerates evil and demeans holiness. Are you feeling dissatisfied with your way of life? Jesus is the way, truth and life.
The story of the Samaritan woman in the Bible exemplifies the hungry state of the entire community. They believed in Jesus through the woman’s testimony even before meeting with Him physically. They pleaded with Jesus to stay with them after hearing His words. How hungry are you for righteousness?
We cannot derive satisfaction from this world or the pleasures of sin; only through Jesus can we satisfy our bodies, soul and mind. All we need that pertain to life and godliness—our desires to live for God here on earth and in eternity—are found fulfilled only in Jesus.
Charge: When you align with Jesus, you enjoy genuine satisfaction
