“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Matthew 25:40

How we do things for Jesus is to do things for others. By serving others, we have to served Jesus Himself. God views every act of kindness, compassion, and support toward others as an act of love toward Him.To live out this truth, we must approach each person with the awareness that they are valued by God.

When we meet someone in need, whether a friend, family member, or stranger, we can reflect Christ’s love by helping, listening, or simply being present. Our actions don’t need to be grand; Jesus values small acts done with a genuine heart. A kind word, a small sacrifice, or a helping hand can make a difference.

We have been called to act selflessly, not expecting recognition, not expecting anything in return but knowing that God sees and values our efforts. As we serve “the least of these”—those who may be vulnerable, overlooked, or in need—we honor Jesus directly. By embracing this mindset, we make our lives an expression of God’s love, fulfilling His command to love and serve others as if we are doing it for Him.
