“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
John 1:3
The truth about the Son of God being the Word has been revealed through many accounts in Scripture. According to the Gospel of John, in the beginning was the Word, the same Word was with God, and the same Word was God. It further reveals that all things were made by Him—the Word—and without Him, nothing was made that has been made.
This shows us how Jesus Christ, the very Word of God, existed before the beginning of time and is the source of everything that was ever created. From the stars, matter, creatures of the sky to those in the sea, and every living and non-living thing upon the earth—He made them all.
The book of Hebrews tells us that the world was framed by the Word of God, and what we see today was made from what cannot be seen. Only the Word of God makes this possible. Perhaps one of the clearest affirmations of all things being created by the Word is found in Isaiah, where God Himself declares: “I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.” Therefore, no matter what you desire, if you believe that Jesus—the Word—can do it, then it will surely happen. Trust in the Lord who can do all things.
