“To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”
1 Thessalonians 3:13
It is the desire of God, that all His children live and walk in holiness. The Bible made us understand that our Father is holy; therefore, we too must be holy. However, holiness is not just a wish but a result of a life lived by the Holy Spirit. Today’s message focuses on the goalpost, which is heaven, and without a life well spent in holiness, no one will see the Lord, and heaven will never be a reality.
So, appearing blameless and perfect in holiness require partnership and deliberate walk with the Holy Spirit. A constant life of prayer and study of the Word cannot be substituted. Love is of God and must begin to permeate every aspect of our lives and interactions with fellow men.
Let us be reminded once again that if truly the goal is appearing before God blameless, then the goalpost has not changed. The requirement remains holiness in prayer, Word, and love by the Holy Spirit of God. Knowing that holiness is not just a one-time experience will save us from missing the goal. Now, we must remember that for our hearts to be blameless in holiness before God, holiness can no longer be seen as a sprint, but an unending marathon until the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
