“And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.”
Mark 4:24
Recent times, we hear different forms of teachings, exhortation, and ministration. It is important that we balance whatsoever we hear or listen to with the Word of God.
Do you know that you become what you listen to consistently? Whenever you feed your thoughts and mind with things that do not promote spiritual edification, you might begin to notice a drastic change in your response to life activities. For instance, if a child of God spends most of the time listening to heretical teachings like ‘paying of tithes is not necessary, or unimportant arguments about the scriptures,’ the mind of such believer will be polluted and unproductive to the kingdom of God.
Beloved, be careful what you are listen to. The measure of thought and study you give to the truth you hear, will be the measure of virtue and knowledge that comes back to you, and more will be given to you who hear. Likewise, the more you pay attention to evil words, the more measure of evils that will approach you.
May the Lord help us to give ourselves to the study of God’s truth in Jesus’ name. Amen.
