Proverbs 13:20
Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are. The company you walk in has a lot to say about you. They define you and can determine your identity.
A wise man walking with five foolish people isn’t wise, rather he is just an addition to their folly. Likewise a foolish man walking in the company of 5 wise men is wise because he will have things to learn from them. It’s only a matter of time, before the mindset of those you are walking with rubs off on you.
As believers, we must guard our hearts. The bible says evil communication corrupts good manner. Whatever company that doesn’t help you grow spiritually or in any good way isn’t for you. A wise man will always keep the word of God in his heart; whosoever that doesn’t do this, is not worth relating with.
