How we live our lives daily is of utmost importance to God. The scripture for today poses a question we are most times familiar with, are you on the Lord’s side? A quick study of the scripture reveals the thoughts of God to us concerning our walk with Him. A life that doesn’t submit to God’s word, commandments, and standards is clearly against God. We can relate this to the biblical records of King Saul, a chosen, anointed leader of God’s people who chose human directives against God’s instructions.
A life that seeks worldly pleasures, selfish satisfaction, and fleshly desires scatters instead of gathering godliness and contentment as it is written in the scriptures. This explains the life of the rich man who gathered his harvest for his selfish satisfaction and declared a long-term enjoyment but was judged by God who requested his soul.
Beloved, let’s seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness while the Lord blesses us according to His will for our lives. May the Lord help us to diligently seek Him every day of our lives in Jesus’ name (Amen).
