“Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.”
Ezekiel 33:4
God is long suffering. He doesn’t strike without giving enough chances and room for repentance. Just as our God is slow to anger and loving, His judgement side is also available.
As believers, we must know that every of our action has it’s consequences either good or bad. The sound of the trumpet here can be likened to the Word of God; whosoever hears the Word of God and doesn’t yield to it will be destroyed at his own detriment.
Therefore, as a wise believer, we should be careful of these things that can warrant destruction and punishments on us by daily working out our salvation and conforming to the image of Christ.
