“TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.”
Daniel 5:27
Have you wondered what it would be like to have your name called in places of power, and revered. Have you imagined that only the mention of your name is being able to open doors of access for others, only to hear God say, “You have been found wanting.”
This needs to sink into our hearts. God is not impressed by your power or by the accolades people give you. You healing the sick and giving food to the poor are not the things that move God.
The Lord weighs men by their surrender to Him. First the acceptance of Jesus and the Cross, and then, your continuous surrender and obedience to His words.
May we not build in vain. May we not do things that look good but are bereft of the hand of God. May we not be foolishly proud. It is time to check and check again. Come back to the Lord, present yourself before Him, and ask that He gives His verdict.
Let our goals be to do that which is pleasing in the sight of God, so that we might hear, “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.”

Charge: No one wants to hear “Depart from me, I know ye not”. To avoid this, we must return to our first love!
Stay blessed.
