“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

1 Timothy 4:12

Your youthful days are your times of preparation. They are the times when your seed is meant to be nurtured and brought to blossom.

They are very critical days for the person you eventually manifest. And if taken for granted might be the reason the harvest (your later days) never becomes ripe for plucking.

Our passage gives a ready recipe for how to live out our days. We must ensure that we look like what we claim to be.

In other words, we must be careful to speak like those who have the Holy Spirit within them. Your words must never bring anyone down, and must glorify Jesus and lift people as an end goal.

You must also never speak words of doom to yourself. This is because your words are seeds, and if you spend your youthful days speaking bad words to yourself, you end up seeing the fruits of these words in your latter days.

Thought For the day: The best time to live out the example of the God-life is in the beginning of your life, not towards the end.

Stay blessed.
