HEAVEN REJOICES OVER YOU

I say unto you, that likewise, joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Luke 15:7

It is easy to think God does not care to see you in His kingdom anymore. You might have fallen again and again, and because the devil is a liar, he might have you convinced that there is no need anymore for repentance. After all, which father would rejoice over a child who seems to keep disappointing?

Our Father in Heaven, that’s who. As a matter of fact, the host of heaven rejoices over you. Don’t you know? The Father’s arms are wide open willing to receive that child who admits his need for Him. Who repents and surrenders his will to Him. The Father says it is okay to come. It is okay to need help. It is okay to confess your sins, and come as filthy as you are because at the other end of that is forgiveness and a grace that can hold you up.

Dear you who lives condemned, do you know it is impossible to receive the grace to go sin no more without first accepting and repenting of your present state? This is why you should not delay another second! Jesus wants you. He really does. He died for you, and He’s waiting for you. Don’t keep Him waiting. Allow that shout of joy to arise in heaven over you.

Prayer

Lord, It is my utmost desire to see you smile over me. Help me to come consistently with a repentant heart. Father, I thank you because you have made provision for me not to live in constant condemnation. I accept and believe in your sacrifice on the cross and I repent today, Lord. Give me the grace to sin no more, and help me never to misuse the grace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
