REFLECTING GOD’S GOODNESS THROUGH FAITH AND ACTION

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”

Philemon 1:6

As believers, it’s crucial to align our words with our actions. In the scriptural text above, Apostle Paul wrote to Philemon, commending his good works and emphasising the power of matching words with deeds.

Our lives should mirror our daily confession of faith. Preaching God’s love should coincide with living it out, exemplifying the love we proclaim. Mere claims of salvation or speaking about God are not enough; our actions must align with our words.

Effective communication of our faith involves recognising the good within us through Christ Jesus. When we accept Christ, we’re filled with the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit, along with God’s blessings. However, it’s not enough to speak of these blessings; we must manifest them in our lives. People closely observe us, and our actions reveal our faith. We’re like open letters, known and read by all. We carry God’s goodness. Jesus taught us to let our light shine, not hide it, positively influencing those around us.

Therefore, let us radiate Christ’s light within us and reveal God’s embedded goodness in our lives. We are helped of God in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer

Father, I acknowledge the abundance of goodness and blessings You’ve given me through Christ. Grant me the grace to live out these blessings, and let Your light shine through my actions. May my faith align with my deeds, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
