“He that hideth hatred with lying lips, And he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.”
Proverbs 10:18
As believers, we’re expected to show the qualities of the Holy Spirit, which reflect who we are in Christ. One of these qualities is “LOVE”.
We should let everyone see these qualities in us. The verse above implies that it is foolishness to be feigning benevolence while feeling hatred. As believers, love ought to fill us, and we are expected to share that love with everyone. However, it is only when we possess love that we can share with others. Or, how can someone full of love also feel hate? It’s not possible. Besides, as Christ’s own, it is not an attribute that we should possess.
As believers, we should remember that we’re born of the Spirit, and the Spirit’s good qualities are in us.
Let’s consciously live each day like God’s representatives, always aware of who we are in Christ.
