THE REWARDER IS CLOSE

“For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head”. 

Obadiah 1:15

Lots of times, we feel really comfortable in this world; and sometimes, we forget that we’re just passing through it and the day of the Lord is near. It’s easy to think that all we’ve got is this world, but the Lord’s message is here again to remind us this morning that His day is closer than we think.

Think about what you do and how you act; think about your manner of approach and how you respond to people. Think about everything and weigh your consequences. Are you fit for the kingdom of God?

We must bear in mind that irrespective of our endeavours, as we conclude our passage through life, divine recompense shall be meted out according to one’s rightful merit. Thus, let this serve as a poignant reminder to engage in virtuous deeds, even during challenging times or adversity. For every tree that bears no good fruit shall the Rewarded cut off.

Prayer

Lord, please guide me to do what’s right in everything I do. Help me to never become adamant and foolish in my thinking. I need your  wisdom to navigate this world, Father, that I may not drown in my actions. Please, help me to beat good fruits through the words of my testimony and my lifestyle. Thank you, Lord, for I believe that at the end of my journey in this life, I will be welcomed home to receive my crown of glory. Amen.
