REJOICING BRINGS PEACE

“Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, Rejoice.”

Philippians 4:4

Rejoicing in all situations, especially nowadays, can be challenging and even impossible at times. However, God calls us to rejoice always, knowing that we are loved and cared for by an eternal God.

But what if the circumstances around us don’t inspire feelings of constant rejoicing? In our present lives, it can be difficult to find joy in the Lord when pain, struggle, and sadness surround us. Nevertheless, it is possible to love the Lord and rejoice always, even when we don’t feel like it or when we’re burdened with too much pain to focus on God.

When we rejoice in the Lord, we experience peace in our situations, hearts, and minds. We understand that God holds our prayer requests in His hands and grants us peace until those requests are answered.

Even when we have been waiting on the Lord for a long time or seeking change in a particular situation, we can still rejoice and be thankful to the Lord in the meantime. We know that our prayers have reached the ears of God and will be answered soon.

One way to find joy when we don’t feel like it is to reflect on past experiences when we were waiting on the Lord or going through similar distressing circumstances. We can remember how God provided, even when it seemed like nothing would change. Recalling those instances and feeling grateful to God should fill us with joy and remind us that He is capable of doing it again and again. He is a loving and caring God who looks after us.

Prayer

1. I receive the grace to show gratitude and rejoice in the Lord always, no matter the situation I encounter.

2. I have the peace of God that comes with rejoicing in Jesus’ name. Amen.
